Happy Thanksgiving

All of us here at Best Friends OKC hope that you have many reasons to be thankful this holiday season. Many of our boarders will be enjoying Thanksgiving dinner later today, an event much anticipated by both pets and staff. Mmmm ... Turkey!! We hope that as you sit down to your own dinner today, and count your blessings, that you will also take a moment to remember those less fortunate. Edmond Animal Welfare houses many pets who are desperately in need of a family to call their own. We encourage you to visit their site and take a look at the available animals.. who knows, maybe you'll find a new Best Friend! Tis the Season!

Tis the season to give, and Best Friends Pet Care hopes you'll remember our 4 legged friends. Donate to our Angel Tree and help out some needy pups. This year, we'll be splitting the proceeds between two amazing organizations. Pathfinders Search and Rescue, is a very deserving non-profit group that volunteers their time and efforts for the benefit of those in the most need. We'll also be donating to Edmond Animal Welfare, and all pets who will be spending their holiday season waiting for a home. Tis also the season for SANTA!!! That's right, Santa's on his way, and he wants a picture with you and your pup! Call now to make an appointment to see Santa on Saturday, Nov. 28th between 10:00am and 5:00pm. Pictures are $20 for one 5X7, and can include as many family members (furred or not!) as you'd like, or just your pet, if you're shy.

Sirius Black Joins the Girl Scouts!

Yes, it's true, Sirius Black will be joining the Girl Scouts! That is, Breanna's newfie mix, Sirius, shown here, will be joining the Girl Scouts for a talk about pet care. No news at this time about how the OTHER Sirius Black will be spending his weekend. ;-P

Great News!

October was a record-breaking month for adoptions at the Oklahoma City Animal Shelter, with 777 lucky pets placed overall! Wow! Best Friends sends out a great big "Way to Go!" to you! The shelter is currently running a $25 special for adoptions, which includes spaying or neutering, vaccines, and flea, tick and worm treatment.
