Beautiful Bella

While dad was in town this weekend assessing the hail damage from last week's storm, Bella B. relaxed at our grooming salon, enjoying a day of pampering. As helpful in a disaster as her dad, she also donated her fur coat to help Matter of Trust clean up oil spills, like the one in the Gulf of Mexico. All the fur that Bella donated was obtained through our Shedicure process, which can reduce shedding up to as much as 80%!!

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow

Sooo... you've just finished brushing out your dog, and you're looking at that huge pile of hair, knowing there's got to be a good use for it.. but what? Pillows? Sweaters? Voodoo dolls?? Nahhh... How about saving the planet? Yeah, that'll work! Matter Of Trust, a non-profit organization, is collecting all kinds of clean hair, people and pet, in order to make 'hair booms'. These are then used to soak up oil spills, such as the one in the Gulf of Mexico, and Best Friends is going to help!! When you bring your pet in for a haircut, we'll save the clippings, and mail them to Matter of Trust. What are YOU doing this weekend??

Best Friends will be attending two great events this weekend. Come see us Saturday from 9:30 - 1pm at Wild Horse Park in Mustang for Woofstock! Lots of fun activities and competitions for both you and your dog, as well as a fly-ball demonstration, a fun run, and of course, US! Then, Sunday will find us at the Cox Convention Center, watching the weiners fly at the 2010 Dachsund Dash!! Woo hoo!! Rufus Sternlof, Grand Champion 2 years in a row,  last year's 2nd place winner, and Best Friends personal fav, has retired after back surgery in June, but there'll be nearly 100 dogs running this year, and lots more who come to watch. The fun starts at 1:00.. see you there!!
