Best Friends is Spotlighted at the NJ Super Pet Expo

Santa Pictures were a success on November 28th! Sixteen beautiful pictures were sent home this year, with all proceeds going to Pathfinders Search and Rescue and Edmond Animal Welfare. A really, REALLY big thank you goes out to Rick Rowan from Advanced Images Photography who took our beautiful pictures this year, and Fred Crawford, who volunteered his time (on a Saturday during football season! The Bedlam game, even!) to play Santa once again. We couldn't do it without you!!

Well, it's official - the turkey has been eaten, Santa has arrived, and the B.C. Clark Anniversary jingle is on the air - the Holiday Season is upon us! During the upcoming weeks, besides baking those fruitcakes and shopping for the perfect presents, many of us will decorate our homes with festive plants, full of colour and cheer. As pet owners, however, we need to be aware that the effects of some of those plants on our furry friends is not so jolly, should Fluffy decide to ingest them! Please take a moment to look over this article on toxic holiday plants, and make sure that everyone in your home has a very happy holiday season!

Many of our boarders will be enjoying Thanksgiving dinner later today, an event much anticipated by both pets and staff. Mmmm ... Turkey!! We hope that as you sit down to your own dinner today, and count your blessings, that you will also take a moment to remember those less fortunate. Edmond Animal Welfare houses many pets who are desperately in need of a family to call their own. We encourage you to visit their site and take a look at the available animals.. who knows, maybe you'll find a new Best Friend! Tis the Season!

Tis the season to give, and Best Friends Pet Care hopes you'll remember our 4 legged friends. Donate to our Angel Tree and help out some needy pups. This year, we'll be splitting the proceeds between two amazing organizations. Pathfinders Search and Rescue, is a very deserving non-profit group that volunteers their time and efforts for the benefit of those in the most need.
